How to Cook: Skirt Steak (Grilled with Jack Daniel's BBQ Sauce)

Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce and Grill Steak

The sauce ingredients:

Jack Daniels, 1/2 cup
1 small onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1⁄2 cup whiskey, Jack Daniels
2 cups ketchup
1⁄4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1⁄4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1⁄3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons of liquid smoke
1⁄2 teaspoon salt

Cooking the sauce:

1)In a medium saucepan, combine onion, garlic and whiskey. Simmer over medium heat for about 7 minutes or until onion is translucent.
2)Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.
3)Blend it all into a sauce and leave overnight in the fridge to settle, or just use it right away, it’s your call really.

Grillign the steak:

1) Unpack and let rest
2) Serrate the meat
3) Season as you like, I just used salt on this cook
4) Heat up the grill to medium-high and cook for 3 minutes each side.
5) Baste in the BBQ sauce
6) Sear on high for 30 secs each side and enjoy.
