With our premium-quality beef short ribs, you'll have the perfect starting point to explore this iconic dish. Our upcoming recipe offers a genuine taste of Korean Galbi, inviting you to bring the essence of Korean BBQ to your home.

Ingredients:

2 kgs of Korean-style beef short ribs
- 1 pear, grated (preferably Asian pear)
- 6 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
-4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon rice wine (or mirin)
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Sesame seeds for garnish
* Optional: 1 tablespoon Gochujang (Korean chili paste) for a spicy kick

Method:

1. Marinate the Ribs: In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated pear, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated onion, green onions, grated ginger, rice wine, and black pepper. Mix well. Add Gochujang if you prefer a spicy marinade. Add the ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

2. Prepare Your Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, ensure the coals are evenly spread and create a medium-hot zone and a cooler zone.

3. Grill the Ribs: Remove the ribs from the marinade and shake off excess. Grill the ribs, turning occasionally, until they are nicely browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare.

4. Rest and Serve: Let the ribs rest for a few minutes after removing them from the grill. Then cut between the bone and serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.

Optional Side Dishes: Serve with steamed rice, kimchi, and a fresh salad for a complete Korean BBQ experience.

As you savor the last bite of your home-cooked Galbi, you'll not only appreciate the rich flavors but also the cultural journey you've embarked on. The Ribeye Club is proud to bring these global culinary delights to your table, making gourmet cooking an accessible and enjoyable adventure.
